Iraq’s central bank announced on Wednesday it had sold more than $ 164 million in the sale of foreign currency.
“The total amount sold was 164 million, 447 thousand and 400 dollars, with the participation of 33 banks and two financial transfer companies,” the Central Bank said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
He added that “the sale of amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad and selling cash at 1190 dinars per dollar.”
The total sales for the purpose of strengthening the assets abroad remittances and credits of 143 million and 967 thousand and 400 dollars and the total cash sales amounted to 20 million and 480 thousand dollars. The Central Bank has recorded 137.29 million dollars compared to 154.17 million dollars by the auction last Monday.
